Earwigs are dark brown insects, with pincers at the rear end and are about 1.5cm long. They are scarey looking especially if you see them in your house.

Fungus gnats are very small flies (3mm) that look like tiny mosquitoes. They are grey or black, have very long legs and a pair of see thru wings.

Scale insects look like fish scales or very tiny seashells. They are small (approx. 3mm) and are not mobile and have no visible legs or antennae. They have a waxy coating on their backs.

Western tent caterpillars are hairy with orange and black markings. Adult moth is orangy brown. Forest tent caterpillars are hairy, light brown and have orange stripes.

Onion maggots are very small measuring around 9mm. The adult is a fly that is about 9mm long, greyish coloured with large wings.
